Solar Eclipse, August 21, 2017: The Sun and Moon as Signs and Jesus' Return

COPYRIGHT WARNING

Many people wonder if there is a correlation between a solar eclipse on Monday, August 21, 2017 and the return of Jesus to earth. The Bible is specific that God created the Sun and the Moon for “signs.”

Then God said, “Let there be lights in the firmament of the heavens to divide the day from the night; and let them be for signs and seasons, and for days and years; 15 and let them be for lights in the firmament of the heavens to give light on the earth”; and it was so. —Genesis 1:14-15 Continue reading “Solar Eclipse, August 21, 2017: The Sun and Moon as Signs and Jesus' Return”

Missing the Greater by Focussing on the Lesser

COPYRIGHT WARNING

There is an error that many people make today, regarding God and whether evidence for His Being can be observed. I have had conversations with individuals who have brought forth accusations of contradictions that they assert, exist in the Bible. Rather than focussing on what the purpose of the particular verses are saying, the person looks closely at the differences between the gospel writers; as evidence that the text is not truthful.

I recently finished translating my own version of the four gospels for a new book: “One Gospel,” which required a great amount of time to correctly create a version of the New Testament text that is both accurate and reliable. The reason for this new version is that major publishers of the existing translations, do not allow the extent of use for this text that I am accessing, without paying a sizable royalty payment.

As I was trying to meticulously ensure that the text was true to the original, I became aware of multiple places where the four writers of Jesus Gospel, recorded different observations from one another. All of these men were telling the same story, while recording their own particular view of what took place. I have written about this before and have stated that this difference between the four writers is evidence of authenticity, not contradiction. When four people are at the scene of an event, they will always write different aspects of the same story; if the account genuinely took place. If four people write an account that matches each other, precisely, this is evidence of coercion between the writers and likely reveals that the story is not true. God Is Necessary For The Universe To Exist

COPYRIGHT WARNING

Orion_Nebula_-_Hubble_2006_mosaic_18000

With all of the wonders of science and astronomy today, no person can tell us how the universe came into being from nothing. Many theories are conjectured and put forth regarding the existence of the “multiverse,” while no evidence for any other universes actually exists. Since we cannot see beyond our present cosmological structure, it is impossible to state categorically that many others certainly exist. The entire purpose for introducing the multiverse theory was to camouflage the obvious truth that our universe exists by design. Until scientists are able to prove by scientific methods that there are trillions of other universes, in addition to our own, we must—as intelligent men and women, deny this mystical materialistic answer for our existence.

The theory of Occam’s Razor defines the simplest and most obvious answer as the often correct conclusion.[1] No person views a one-hundred and four story skyscraper and questions how it came into existence. It is understood that a mind conceived this building. Engineers designed its structure. Builders assembled the components that were required to erect this great edifice. Anyone who would state that the Freedom Tower in New York City came into existence on its own, would be ignored or laughed to scorn. The obvious conclusion is that someone made it. A Lack of Respect for the Word of God: A Sign of Jesus Return

COPYRIGHT WARINING

Your word above your name

This morning, I was watching the Festival of Families service in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, with Pope Frances. Mark Wahlberg was at the podium to introduce Herbert Lusk, famous running back for the Eagles, 1976-1978. On October 9, 1977, Mr. Lusk was the first NFL player to kneel at the end zone after a touchdown and pray. Now pastor Herbert Lusk of the Greater Exodus Baptist Church since 1982, he picked up his Bible and began to read the words of Jesus from the Gospel of Luke, chapter 15, regarding the Prodigal Son.

As Mr. Wahlberg left the podium, he cried out: “Go Eagles.”

Forgetting that he had just told us that God’s word would be spoken, Mr. Wahlberg instead exalted a football team, above the words of the One True God.

Pastor Lusk began to read the Words of Jesus, and by the end of the first sentence, Fox News interrupted the reading of God’s word to break for a commercial.

Fox News, chose their commercial interests, above a respect for God and His word. Continue reading “A Lack of Respect for the Word of God: A Sign of Jesus Return”

The Relationship Between the Blood Moon of September 2015 and Jesus Return

COPYRIGHT WARNING

ROB_5728-2 (1)

According to NASA and experts in Astronomy, the Blood Moon that will occur in September, 2015, is nothing remarkable; this phenomenon happens quite frequently and we should not read anything supernatural into this event.

When Jesus arrived on the earth the first time, there were “Signs in the Heavens,” in the form of a planet conjunction. This phenomenon was significant enough that several astronomers from the east made a long and difficult journey to Israel. There is credible evidence that these “Wise Men,” believed that this bright “star” that had appeared, was a fulfillment of the prophecies of Isaiah and Micah, which foretold that the promised Messiah would arrive on the earth at that time.

History also records a supernatural event that took place from 12 noon to 3 pm, on the day that Jesus was dying for the sins of the world on the cross. This event is documented by secular as well as Biblical sources.

Roman historian, Tertullian, describes an account by Phlegon, that a Total Solar Eclipse had taken place during the time that Jesus was crucified at Jerusalem.

“In the same hour (as the crucifixion), too, the light of day was withdrawn, when the sun at the very time was in his meridian blaze. Those who were not aware that this had been predicted about Christ, no doubt thought it an eclipse. You yourselves have an account of the world portent still in your archives (Phlegon’s account).”[1a]

The “archives,” that Phlegon refers to, are the Annals of Rome. These are the official records of history that were meticulously kept at the Roman Senate. This is corroboration of the New Testament text that Jesus was on the cross, crucified, died, and that darkness took place at the specific time that the narrative of the New Testament writers says that it happened.[1b]

Julius Africanus also records that Roman historian, Thallus, stated that the darkness that took place during Jesus’ crucifixion could not have been caused by a solar eclipse. The feast of Passover is always observed on the 14th day of Nissan (April), during a full moon. A solar eclipse can only occur during a new moon. It is astronomically impossible for a total eclipse of the sun to occur, concurrent with a full moon. [1c] Therefore, the darkness from noon to 3pm, that is reported in the New Testament, could not have been caused by a total solar eclipse.

If the Sun was obscured and darkness fell over the entire earth for three hours, and it was not a Total Solar Eclipse, what was it? History records that it took place and science cannot explain it. The Bible simply states that God caused this event in response to the death of His Son.

On the same evening of Jesus crucifixion, historians also confirm a second event that is recorded by both the Bible and secular historians; on the evening of that same day; a Total Lunar Eclipse occurred, displaying a “Blood Moon.” This event was confirmed by Astronomer, Colin J. Humphreys by use of computer models which recreated the astronomical events that took place in 32 A.D.

Too many coincidences

Scientists will tell us that these three occurrences are simply coincidences that just happened to take place during the time of Jesus birth, and death. They say that they are perfectly natural phenomenon that can be explained by science and astronomy; We don’t need God, nor the Bible to explain what happened.

As we look at the thousands of times in the history of the world when supernatural events have taken place, there are just too many to conclude that they were all coincidences.

The following are the facts that surround the signs in the heavens that took place when Jesus arrived on the earth the first time, at His death, and are predicted to take place once again when He returns to earth. Irrefutable Evidence For The Existence Of God

COPYRIGHT WARNING

Is there verifiable evidence for the existence of God? Yes. In fact, the evidence is so substantial, so empirical, so undeniable, we can know for certain that God does exist.

When we consider any event from history as a valid occurrence, we must examine the evidence that those who were present during that time, said or wrote, concerning these events. We know that Abraham Lincoln is a genuine person from history, by the 20,000 documents that exist which authenticate his existence.

We know that World Wars one and two took place, because history has recorded these events.

The existence of God has such a large body of empirical evidence that no reasonable person could deny His existence. Continue reading “Irrefutable Evidence For The Existence Of God”

The Gay Marriage Argument Based Upon Disputed Bible Verses

COPYRIGHT WARNING

Those who view gay marriage as a right, often misuse Bible verses for their assertions. The basis for their argument is that certain strange moral behaviors are endorsed by God and the Bible, therefore, no Christian should have any problem with gay marriage.

The following chart illustrates the lack of knowledge that many atheists, critics of the Bible and the LGBT community have, regarding what the Bible teaches:[1]
